OPEN POSITIONS

Junior Staff Accountant responsible for Audit, code, and verify invoices in compliance with BPCPC’s policies and contract /purchase terms. Audit invoices for supporting documentations and approved purchase orders. Review invoices for mathematical accuracy and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis. Enter vendor invoices and check requests into Accounting System on a timely basis. Organize payable voucher for approval routing and timely follow up for approval. Print check for approved voucher weekly, and more frequently as needed. Coordinate with Staff Accountant and Accounting Manager for task assignments. Resolve discrepancies on schedule of outstanding purchase orders with Purchasing Coordinator. Follow-up on missing documentations required on invoices. Resolve payable discrepancies on a timely basis. Enter journal entries in accounting system as directed by Accounting Manager. Collect and organize supporting documents for billing files used by Accounting Department. Create invoices base on billing information submitted by Staff Accountant. Maintain and Update Accounts Receivable Schedule regularly. Maintain cash receipt schedules as directed by Staff Accountant. Enter financial data into worksheet format using Microsoft Excel. Collate payments in preparation for mailing. Maintain vendor files in Accounting System, and all payable files. Assist in record retention for Accounting as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties in the scope of the job as required by the Accounting Manager and Director of Administration and Finance.
  • Perform periodic kitchen cleaning duties, and assist in snow removal procedures as assigned on a rotational schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of accounting /bookkeeping experience.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of computerized accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be a team player and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff, and the general public.
  • Able to work additional hours as needed.

Level B Carpenter/Painter responsible for providing the daily "hands-on" physical labor required to keep all parkland sites and structures under BPCPC jurisdiction in a safe and operable condition.  The Level B is under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Foreman, and overall jurisdiction of the Director of Maintenance.  The Level B will also serve as a supervisor to the Level B Assistant, which will work with the Level B on a daily basis.  The Level B Carpenter/Painter worker is considered a “skilled tradesperson” and must be well organized and knowledgeable in the carpentry field.

HORTICULTURE March – November Perform all aspects of horticultural maintenance to include pruning, planting, grooming, dividing, I.P.M., and soil management. Must have minimum 3 years of work experience in the field or a horticulture degree.
